- 25MB Zip disks are brand new and cost less than 400K 3.5" floppies did in
- 1983/1984. (I rememeber buying floppies for a single sided Mac drive for

- It died. They are slow and unreliable, just like floppies. While the Zip
- is between 40 and 52 times faster than a floppy, these drives were 2 to 3
- times faster. An associate of mine still has one of those drives. He's
- just looking to get rid of it. :-)

- Basically, the floppy is probably going to have to be replaced by a new
- media - if you want a floppy you should keep a floppy drive.
